Penton is seeking a Digital Sales Specialist to join the Marketing Services team in the Cleveland, Chicago or Arlington office.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Sales Specialist will work directly with the Penton Sales force to grow online marketing service sales revenue in selected Penton B2B markets. The Sales Specialist should have extensive knowledge of digital marketing services solutions and have the ability to create integrated packages that best meet their client’s needs. Focus will be on selling large, multi-component programs that include offerings such as: SEO, lead generation, research, content, social media, lead nurturing and thought leadership.

This individual will need strong consulting skills, digital marketing expertise, sales experience and ideally knowledge of online marketing services and/or the B2B industry. We are seeking a HIGHLY motivated, results-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced digital environment. To be successful, this person must have a proven track record of selling large integrated campaigns.

• Support assigned team of salespeople and markets to achieve their goals
• Provides training and guidance to sales associates about new services
• Develops incremental business in existing accounts and may work independently to grow new business for accounts outside of Penton’s current client base.
• Demonstrates/presents clear product/technology expertise confidently
• Possess vast technical knowledge of all marketing services and target markets
• Builds new industry specific integrated ideas to grow revenue
• Demonstrates use of advanced consultative selling skills in the field
• Reports all sales activities to manager and assigned markets

Position Qualifications:
 Minimum 5 years of successful, documented sales selling high end integrated packages
 Foundational knowledge of new digital marketing principles
 Experience building and presenting advanced presentations and customer proposals
 Proven ability to present and close large opportunity sales
 A true team player that can work with other sales reps and product leads for the benefit of a client
 Must be able to work as a team with Penton Sales Team
 Detail-oriented and highly organized, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
 Motivated self-starter with a high level of initiative and a sense of urgency
 Passion for driving revenue and reaching for ambitious performance goals
 Effectively accomplish goals while working in a team-based, open-office environment
 Microsoft Office skills are required and experience is a plus along with database and report generation knowledge.
 BA/BS degree preferred
 Perform administrative and reporting duties for the team as needed.
